Went and looked at the boat and it was very nice, but cuddie just to small. I am 6'4" and having a cuddie I can't even sit upright in doesn't realy trip my trigger. PLus they wouldn't budge much on price. Found a 1996 Baja 252 on the way home for a realy good price, but the boat is a little rough and private seller so can't trade mine there either.

Thanks. If it had a pottie in it and would handle the rough chop a little better I would keep it for sure. We love the boat, just found we have other needs.

Maybe all you need is a 240/260? We have a potty but never have used it. I think it's a mind thing - if you don't have a potty then everyone wants one or seems to need one. We've never been caught out somewhere and unable to get to a shore facility if necessary. I'm talking day trips only.

Yeah day trips we have no problem, but there are a lot of places to go around us at night as well. Some far enough away we may want to just pull up to a dock or marina and stay the night. Every Thursday night during the summer there is a concert type thing on the river in town that we woule like to go to, but you almost need a pottie in the boat to stay to long. Or pay to go in. A lot of people just tie up there boats right next to it so you can listen for free from the comfort of your boat. My wife loves doing this type of thing. She is realy into live music.

Yeah that was me. I told her that if we do get something else this will be it for a while. On the plus fopr us we owe less than boat is worth so we may also be able to reduce our payment and with two kids in daycare we need it.

Just an idea... but if you want a big-boy lake boat...

That has just as much show as it does go... Winnisquam has a 2000 FW 280 w/ twin 5.7's for a very nice price of around 35k. Need to figure out a trailer - but I would also bet they'd treat you better on your trade in than anyone else would.

That 280 would be a GREAT boat for bigger water as well as have the space (and bathroom) you are looking for.

And as for overnighters.... camper canvas. easy.

Still a bowrider though. And I probably can't tow that beast with my Trailblazer. Looking at getting into about a 25' performance cuddie. Most I have looked at are around 6000lb. loaded with trailer. My Trailblazer is rated for 6200lbs. I know this is pushing it weight wise, but we would only be going 3 miles each way from the launch to our house and it is all back country roads with very little if any traffic. This would prevent any more road trips with the boat, but we are fine with that until we can get a bigger truck, but right now it is nice not having car payments.

There was a time I wanted a small go fast as well. But what I found was that they are all show and no go. They look and sound fast. But most of them go no faster than your normal bowrider. The smaller ones are also not nearly as good in the slop as you would think. So make sure to take a test ride. We passed as I did not like how cramped the cockpit on them were. My 20' FW Sundowner had twice the cockpit space as the 24' - 25' go fasts I was looking at.

Watch your weight...I think 6k for a 25' is way too light. A trailer for a boat that side will be 1200 - 1300 pounds alone. But good luck in your search.
