After thinking about it that way, it doesn't seem like much hours at all. I was worrying for nothing. I definetly take better care of my boat that I do my truck. This is the first boat that I have had or been on that has had an hour meter. I'm sure my last boat probably had more hours but just the fact that it had a meter on it made it seemed like alot.

on my past boats which had 454 mercs, i concidered 1200 hrs to be aproximate "half life". use quality fuel and keep the oil changed and your 500 hrs is just now broken in. regular maintanence is the whole key. you have found a wonderful boat, so change the fluids and the plugs and drive it like you stole it! :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Thanks you... I plan on spending as much money and time on this boat that I can afford.... If it would only get warmer right now!
