I've been towed and I've towed several... always offer, and if they say no, move on... the courtesy on the lake extends beyond the hand waves... that's one of the things I love about this hobby... I've had my engine compartment open to retrieve floats and other items and even then people have come over thinking I was in trouble and came to help...

I read he stopped and offered help. His question was " right thing to do". I pointed out in Texas there is no choice. If a boater is stranded you offer help, which he did.

New boater here. Haven't ventured out of Texas. I don't have a clue how far it has spread. Dennis
