Those are some big un's for sure. Just had a Tornado Warning issued for here, a few folks went to the basement, I went outside and had a smoke. I could here the sirens sounding. Nothing seemed to happen but wind and rain. The warning is over for our area now. But it sure is windy !

The Weather Channel even has a crew on the beach broadcasting for the next couple of days.

Pretty cool picture from Wednesday at the Ludington Pier. It was in the local paper.
If anybody not familiar with Lake Michigan ever says to you, "How bad can it really be, it's only a lake"
Show them this picture.....

We've got a similar situation here on the south end of the lake. I've never seen 20ft waves on lake Michigan in person so I'm might drive down to the lake before the Bears/Pats game and take some pics!

This Afternoon: N wind 28 to 32 kt, with gusts as high as 45 kt. Snow. Waves 7 ft building to 19 ft.

Tonight: NNW wind 27 to 32 kt, with gusts as high as 45 kt. Snow. Waves 20 ft subsiding to 17 ft.

Monday: NW wind 18 to 26 kt, with gusts as high as 35 kt. Snow showers likely. Waves 17 ft subsiding to 10 ft.

If you're looking to have the "boaters down south" get a kick out of weather, here is a picture I took this week of the front of our house. Our local school board closed the schools due to all the snow for three days straight. That has not happened in our area for a long time. 5 months to go until spring launch. :)

Mike.

Yup - pretty hairy weather over that way, it seems....

Here in San Diego, it's 92 at my house today. I'll be out on the Four Winns for the Solstice a week from now.

That's a lot of snow. How much did you end up getting?

We received around 95cm (approx. 3 feet) of snow over the three days of the storm. A town called Lucan (about 20 miles away from us) which is closer to Lake Huron received about 6 feet in total of the white stuff.

Last winter was a mild winter for us. We received more snow last week than we did for all of last winter.

Oh well, can't do much about the snow, I'm looking forward to attending the Toronto International Boat Show in January.

Mike.

Lake Erie has been a little rough the past few days. These are pictures of the Cleveland Harbor West Pier lighthouse. I did not take them.
