Roger,

Your boat called and wants to give my boat that trailering cover....

Hi TX H210SS, Nice try but my boat said it loves it's trailering cover. It is a beauty. But it should be for the price I had to pay OUCH. :P

Well when I was cutting out the old rotted deck most of the things I said were not repeatable in polite company, but I did say some nice things to the old scow when she brought me safely through a dangerous inlet during bad conditions (Huntington Bay to Northport Bay Long Island)....
I also had some less than kind words for the FW workers who did not glass the stringers all the way up, on top, did not seal any holes in the deck, stapled the deck down with hundreds of nasty rusted staples, etc. Not a quality job. Mine replacement was a whole lot better....

I mostly only find myself talking to inanimate objects when it's a bad thing. Then it's more to that bolt that won't come out/go in, that socket that I dropped into the bilge and rolled under the engine, or other similar things not so much to the boat itself.

I do however like to spend quality time with the boat. I store it in my garage, and while I should put the cover on it to keep the dust out of it I can't bring myself to do it. I tell my wife and anyone else that its because I like to leave all the hatches, etc open to to prevent any odors. But honestly I like to climb up in in once every couple weeks and just sit. :D

Guilty. Since buying the 298 this past August I've found myself talking to "WineDown" on several occassions. Usually either coming back into the marina after a great day on the water (with a pat on the helm of course) or while cleaning or performing maintenance.

I thought you were all mad, but on the weekend I found myself saying to it, "how nice it is to be in the water again"
