Yeah I've been doing research. I'll pick it up tomorrow for 2k if need be. Got more info. It's a 2000 Horizon 180, my buddy that works at that horse stable checked it all out (he was a former sea ray builder before they closed the local factory) and he said it's 100% structurally sound. It's here in Florida so no "winterizing" needed. They did a full tune up/maint to it before storage but they have no want/need for it and want it off their property but never got around to actually putting effort to sell it in local media. He only found out it was forsale cause he knows I like boats and wants me to get a bigger one so we can bring the GF's out on the lake with us to hang/fish (12ft jon can't do that).

The boat market sucks right now and probably only worth 6k or so... I think the plan is to just keep it and sell the jon. That seems to be easier to sell. Heck, I sold my old 10ft with no title/motor for $300 last year.

Nice!

So, officially...welcome to the forum. Let us know how it turns out. IF they did what they said...I bet this is quite a find and will need minimal work to get her sea worthy again.

I have a 2003 Freedom 180 and my seats look identical to that. Freedom was supposedly the cheaper version of the Horizon, but they are damn near identical. My engine cover opens the exact same way and though I have the 4.3 V6, many of the hoses and wiring look like they travel the same way as on mine. On the starboard side under the glass it says Horizon, there will be a number on there (180 or 170), but the picture is not sharp enough to zoom in.

I also have the same blue gel coat and gray decals.

Yeah, it's a Horizon 180 with a 3.0 Volvo (The VIN ends in 00, I won't have the title til tonight she was busy at her horse farm). Looks mint mechanical wise, no dings, scratches or faded vinyl. CD/sat marine radio, sony marine speakers, VDO gauges, safety kit, etc. $1600 cash.

I have all the carpets and snap in covers too (not all shown).

I'll get better pics after I clean it out with a real camera.

Looks good! Just needs some TLC and elbow grease.

Here is an old picture of mine. Been a few mod's since, but looks very similar. My helm is different and I have a captain's chair (both the way it came from factory).

BEAUTIFUL! I love that wood trim. I wonder if they make carbon fiber inlays.

After work today I'll start cleaning it and break out the buffer and wax it all. I think the first modification I install is going to be a bimini top. I need to start it up. The steering and shifting smooth. Oil looks decent. No mechanical fluid stains in the bilge. All hoses and stuff look not cracked. Gas smells not good, but I've smelled worse. I don't even know where the battery is to charge it... LOL

I can't wait to start it up.

Battery should be under the rear starboard seat cover. I installed a second battery under the port rear seat (my boat already had the Perko switch).

One of the most useful mod's I did was the transom trim control switch. The Volvo switch requires wiring, but the Mercury one is a plug n play set up. Just requires you to drill a hole. It was such a pain to jump in the boat to lift or lower the stern drive.

I read about some Carbon Overlay's. I am not big on the wood, but had a some other projects that I wanted to do first. I would love to just take the wood trim out and replace, but so far the stick on overlay's are all that I found.

Not sure if you can see it, but just above the ladder on the starboard side you can see my trim control (black rectangle) and the remote stereo control (black circle).

My boat is the odd one out. Both friends have Mako's.

I see! That's an awesome idea. The trailer is well.. sad. I need to bust out my welder and some plate steel and start repairing the holes.

99% of the time it will sit in my slip on the lake unless a buddy wants to yank it somewhere else (as I don't have a 3000lb tow capable vehicle). 3M makes this very good looking carbon overlay material that's very popular in the automotive world for interior and exterior. I plan on fully taking advantage of this stuff for trim on the cockpit.

The only thing I can tell is missing, is the two front cup holders.

Are there holes there and they are missing? Wal-Mart sells them for like $3.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Attwood-Reces ... e/16351006

The SS model has them in stainless. I have considered switching to those, but then there are the LED ones (search "Walt's Mod's" thread to see pictures).

I will definitely take a look at the overlay's!

I spent plenty of time on my trailer too. Mine was in decent shape, but the brakes were rusted in place. I put a new jack on it, replaced all the lights with LED, replaced the coupler, replaced the winch, added a spare (VIP) and some decals.

The trailer will take some new steel. Maybe I'll get lucky and run across a better one for a few hundred. I was honestly amazed it made the 10mi drive home. The hitch area, winch, and lift thingie are newish, but the trailer itself is rotted. Shitty build quality.

Yeah it has the holes for the cup holders, but no cup holders up front. Has them everywhere else.

My friend who found this, actually does LED motorcycle/car lighting. When my bank account recovers we're going to light this up with RGB LED strips everywhere inside on remote control and rear underwater LEDs to attract squid, I mean look cool in the wake. We did that to my jon boat for night fishing around the outside of the hull (16ft of white 5050 SMD is around $40 and use that 3m marine sealant on the electrical solders and it's plenty water proof).

I just put the LED's under the helm (little pods) and the strips under the gunnel's on both sides for Memorial Day weekend. I had a blank switch on the helm for "ACC" and had bought a switch prior for the LED's. I think I spent $50 for LED's wires plus the switch which i bought long ago ($6?).

I forgot to take a picture of it lit up, but surprised everyone on the rides back from the Gulf of Mexico watching the sunset.

I hear you on the wallet. GPS and transducer was my big purchase this year.
