Like Steve, only one blower on my 2000 - 298V.

While I had my tech out to fix my windlass, I had him check as to why the electrical panel blower swith in the cabin didn't work and he did confirm that the 298V (at least mine) does have two blowers. Turned out that the toggle blower switch at the helm wasn't working properly even though that was the only switch that worked (had something to do with relay?). BTW, both blowers turn on at the same time from either switch for future reference.

That's good to know, thanks for the info. I guess two are better than one.

Same issue on my 2007 FW Vista 358. Two blowers operated together from switch at helm or generator controls in cabin. Problem was a bad switch connection on the fire suppression system? The halon (?) tank in the engine compartment has two wires connected to a switch at the nozzle of the tank. When high temp ( e.g. fire) actuates the fire suppression system, this switch shuts off the blowers to prevent fresh air from keeping the fire lit. I removed the electrical connector plug, and plugged in the dummy plug hanging right next to it. This shorted the wire (simulating normal fire suppression tank condition) and allowed the blowers to run normally. I then removed the wires from the tank's switch, cleaned off the light corrosion and tapped the switch a few times. Luckily, when everything was restored, the system worked. Give it a try. This is a quick check, but it took a wiring diagram, meter, two beers and an hour of troubleshooting to find it!

Paul
