I live in a small town (5,000 pop.) Security isn't that much of an issue. We have a shore station, and I lock it up. There is only 20 slips in our little harbor. Vandalism isn't rare here, so my neighbors boat got untied and drifted to the other side, no big deal its only 20 feet away but still, so he locks it now. In wavy areas I made custom ropes with springs take the pressure. Never had anything stolen form our boat, knock on wood, but its happened, I live on the Chain O' Lakes so there are alot of boats for the area. Since the Funship has no glove box, it has a bathroom so we throw stuff in there, but I once locked the garbage, useless if you ask me, maybe to keep the hobos from going threw my trash, lol. But it is useless, I mean honestly lock the garbage?
