The reason I said remove them was so they could be cleaned thoroughly, not half clean. The other reason is, brake cleaner is VERY combustible. So when I say remove, that means from the boat.
TIP: go buy a hose removal hook,,,for about 10 bux it will add years to your life. When installing the valve spray a little Tef Lube in the hose. You'll be glad you did now and if you have to take it apart again.
