eh, the 320 engine room is too cramped, but not as bad as the 340. That and the cockpit layout just doesn't do it for me (nor the wife). They are generally well-constructed, better than a lot of other production boats out there, so you're pretty safe there. Sort of odd to see a boat that old with that few hours on it, especially the genset down in your climate. But that's enough for it not to have been a dock queen.

To me, older boats with very low hours are something to be worried about. When they don't get used the owners don't hear how the boat runs, at least not often enough to know what's going on. This often leads to nasty surprises for expensive repairs that could've been caught earlier and cheaper.

340 engine room was plenty roomy last time I was in one. Had myself and the owner in there, a LOT better than what I'm used to in my 268.

Now that my loan is all approved, here is a pic. It's looking like one more week before I have her in the water.

So, does this make you a member of the "two boat owner club"?

Awesome boat. Nice find with the 496's. Got to be a nice improvement over the 350's.

Yeah, I/O, especially 496's are a RARE find in this boat.....the 298 ONLY has 5.0's....

Got the final work up on the numbers today. Going to try to sign tomorrow. At this point, delivery day looks to be Thursday.

Going to be a great weekend with a new boat & twin 8.1's. That thing should really move with that set up.
