No more ice in the harbor finally but snow Tues nite LOL...
I used so much sand this year (all the home centers were sold out of ice melt) that I can sweep it all up and fill up a small garbage pail and use it for next year. I know that if I buy a bigger snow blower to deal with the bigger storms it will not snow for at least three years...thinking about it....

Been pushing 50 a few days here and there but this morning it is 12 again :(
Good news is our snow is finally almost gone and it is melting slowly, so no flooding.

I bought a cheap single stage snow blower a few years ago after hurting my back while shoveling. It sat in the garage, never used, for the last two winters. So I sold in last fall. Biggest mistake ever!
I will be buying a better 2-stage blower before next winter and I don't care if it sits in the garage forever unused, it won't be sold.

It's been nearly 10 years since I lived in Maine, but I never remembered it being that miserable in late March. It's currently 9 degrees in Bangor on March 24th at 10pm?? WHAT THE HECK!

The polar vortex aint done with me. The Trent has flooded her banks from all the snow melt. My house is sandbagged with pumps running 24/7 in the moat, but they are keeping up. My fishing boat is tied up at my front door.

It's just shitty water management at the provincial level since the Trent is supposed to be partially drained before the spring run off to handle it. They did nothing this year. My guess is the province held water back for cheap power generation downstream of us just to get votes for an upcoming election. Assholes!!!!

When life throws lemons,,,,

I think I'll go fishing today.
