You need a lock pass to use it, the same as all the other locks. I would think just about any boat that can be picked up with a travel lift would be fine. It will handle boats up to 99' in length, 24' beam and 99 tons.

Cool Trip weather - Looks like a lot of fun, maybe when I retire I can con the wife into exploring it.

Part way through the trip my wife starting to think she might be up for the Great Loop - that's what I want to do when I retire, or ideally before. Need a much larger boat however...the 328 got pretty small with 4 of us in bad weather.

Pretty sure I would have to upgrade from the H180 to attempt it...

We saw several boaters on the Trent with smaller boats, they pitch a tent at the lock walls and have a great time.

Nice pics weather.

When we had the pleasure of boating the Trent in our smaller boat years ago, we had jet skis in the same load of boats as ours travelling up and over the land. So small boats are no problem. :)

Mike.

The wife's child hood best friend came Friday for the weeken.

Friday night happy hour, dinner, more drinks and stories.
Saturday morning Bloody Marries to get the day going befor hitting the lake. We cruised around for a while and ended up at our regular spot to hang out.

Lake was glass amazing and amazing all day

Image

I sat on the bow most of the day napping while the girls squawked about who knows what.

Image

Image

And the the shit hit the fan, from our bling spot on the other side of the island a huge storm attacked us, giant rain drops and thunder. I gave the girls 2 options: hammer down or go slow. Well 47.3 gps we hammered down. And yes my speedo always sais 18-20mph laitly so I have to figure that out. Most likely trash in the tube.

Image

Girls and the dog hurtled and me hurtled under the windshield. I am looking at 3side zip in walls now per the admirals request.

I'll probably have some rain like that on my trip next weekend. Should I warn the admiral? ...naw, she'll find out soon enough.

Hahaha I plan to make 3 sided inclosure walls that will zip to the Bimini and snap to the windshield. This will happen post season while I am working on the interior. I figure 3 walls will be useful in future storms to keep mom and baby dry. It was a bad storm

Earlier it was 14 so.... I don't know, I will have to investigate and toss the meter on it when it is not storming. Normally it reads fine. So.. No clue
