The biggest storm in 5 years is about to hit the west coast. HotRod isn't going to get much sleep Thursday night according to this forecast (http://www.windfinder.com/forecast/marina_sausalito).

well. I just burned two hours at work catching up on this thread. I laughed. I gasped. I cried (from laughing). Anxiously awaiting the next installment of FH!!

Yep. Here is a pic of the Flyin Hawaiian after the big storm that many thought would finish it.

It would appear that the boat(s) astern of the FH didn't fare quite as well...

I think as a live aboard barge, it was a total success.

Glad to hear his boat is still afloat. I will add that It looks to be riding high and level. Pretty damn impressive after weathering that storm. Come on now....when does the crow eating party start?

With the 50 MPH winds he endured some big water and wind regardless where he weathered the storm.

he certainly has silenced the naysayers. Don't see the motorcycle on the back any more, wonder if it was a casualty or he moved it.

They said this was from January 11th. When HotRod asks his guest if they want to go for a spin, he literally means it!

Is that outboard powering it?
He definitely beat the odds so far. I still don't see that he has sailed it yet. Or taken it thru the Golden Gate and into the big water.

Yeah, that looks like a 50HP OMC (2 cylinder, 2 stroke).

Probably only good for "taking a spin"....
