Here is my favorite one we took this year.

Morning of July 4th after staying out on the hook all night.

Was that at Brookville? I vaguely remember seeing a nice red FW in the cove when we all woke up. What a great weekend that was. You can just see how hot and nice it was.

No, we decided to go to Caesar's Creek that weekend. We still haven't made it out to Brookville yet. Maybe next year :D

Not a full shot of the boat, but it was definitely at rest when I took this. It's one of my favorites from a tranquil night on Lake Michigan this summer.

Here are some pictures of our 328 taken this summer in Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie.

First two pics were taken at the Put-in-Bay Marina (formerly Ladd's Marina) as a storm was rolling in.

This was taken at the docks at Boblo Island in the Detroit River.

Image

This pic was at the docks at the Maumee Bay Resort in Ohio on Lake Erie.

Image

We spent two nights at Cedar Point, near Sandusky, Ohio, enjoying the amusement park and the marina.

Image

We enjoy crossing Lake St. Clair to Metro Beach Metro Park in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

Image

One of our favourite spots is the "sandbar" in Lake St. Clair, about 8 miles out from our marina.

And you gotta have a wake shot :)

And a helm shot.

We had a bit of a rough trip crossing from Michigan back to our home port on Labour Day weekend.

Wow Mike!
You guys really get around... How much did you spend on fuel this year? I'm not familiar with Lake Clair; How far are these destinations from your marina?

Millhaven,

We have typically spent on average about $2000.00 - $2500.00 a year on fuel for our boat. This year I expect we will fall somewhere close to this range as well.

From our homeport out of Lighthouse Cove on Lake St.Clair we can boat to the south end of the St.Clair River in about 20 miles. From here we can get into Lake Huron in another approx. 30 miles.

Also, from our homeport we can get to the north end of the Detroit River in about 25 miles. From here we can get into Lake Erie in about another 25 miles. Once in Lake Erie, we can make it to The Islands in Lake Erie (Put-In-Bay and Kelly's Is.) in about 1 1/2 hr.

I could of obtained a boat well in Lake Erie or Lake Huron as the drive distance from our home to these lakes or Lake St.Clair is close to the same, but for now (and the last 15 years) we have choosen Lake St.Clair as our home port.

Mike.

I know this is a bit of a different theme to this thread but here is my boat "at rest" last winter. Yes...that's ice under there. It's gonna be a long winter

Thats different!

How are they able to block it up there?

Fyi....a marina near us had the covered slips collapse under snowfall last year. I'd never store that way in winter.

That is typically how we store our boats up here in covered slips. It helps having the weight on the covered slips over the long winter so they don't heave. It is fun watching them get them up there. Up here when you have a covered slip they charge you for the year so you can store your boat in it over the winter.
