Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend and got to spend some quality time on the water!

I grabbed our boat from storage, hooked up the water muffs, put a good battery in her, crossed my fingers, and turned the key....

Now, she hasn't been started in over a year, and while the gas in her tank has quite a bit of Seafoam in it, it's probably close to two years old.
She cranked for about 4 seconds and roared to life! I was ecstatic!

This meant I could spend most of my Saturday getting her all cleaned up from all the dust/dirt. And then get a bunch of really good pictures taken...

Yes, we are planning to sell her. Not getting out of the boat business, though!

Just upgrading to more of a fishing setup. I've got my eye on a Pathfinder 2200V center console, and we plan to spend a lot of time out on the water outside of Rockport, TX.
Our daughter lives down that way and we found out late last year that we will soon be new grandparents! Gonna teach our little granddaughter to fish!

I'm going to head in that direction as well as far as the next boat. No more I/Os for me, getting to old to deal with the extra maintenance. For my area with cooler weather I may go with a Dual Console style boat, say 20' still because that fits my driveway, and a 150 hp outboard.
The old boat I am still using, it still runs well, I'm installing a new GPS/Sounder and sound system. Hard to let go of it, owned 23 years but i have an old boat, and now 2 old Jeeps, and I'm well....OLD too! Gotta get a new fleet!

Last week was a good week for rain in Central TX. I got 6.5" at my house in 4 days! The last good rain was on Friday morning and the ground is still wet today.

Canyon Lake came up 3" this past week. Medina Lake came up a foot! Respectable numbers, but just didn't get the rain exactly where it needed to be for lake filling.

Unfortunately, it looks like that was the last bit of good, heavy rains here for awhile and I don't expect the lakes to react much further than they have.
