It's easy to see how this anchorage got it's name with it's glass flat and reflective water. We anchored a night next to the Evinrude family cottage which has been in the family for generations. We made the trip into the Pool at the slowest speed possible while keeping a sharp lookout for lurking rocks or deadheads, only to find out the Evinrude's would squeeze through the narrow channel in their 118ft yacht "Chanticleer". Made me feel silly going so slow in a 26ft P/V with a trimable outdrive

You guys are jealous that here in Florida we boat all year. I'm jealous the fact that you get better scenery than cypress trees and cell phone towers. That must really make boating an adventure, something we don't have here.

Amazing photos! Seems like a very remote area, I am sure very relaxing having solitude like that. Thanks for sharing!

Bliss,

Those are incredible wall hanging quality photos. You are the winner if there is a competition. Thanks for posting them-

Ben...

Amazing photos. As noted, some of the best...period.

At the risk of sounding more like a photography forum, could you share what it is you used? Camera, lense, filters? I'm always trying to get some nice shots from the boat...and those were inspirational.

Thanks much...!

Bob

Sunset/moonrise over Table Rock last night. Nikon D7000, Nikkor AF-S 14-24 f/2.8, handheld from the boat. Followed by a ~6 mile run in the dark (GPS assisted) on the smoothest water I've ever boated on. Awesome.

Bliss - Very nice pictures of "The Pool". I have only anchored in "The Pool" twice in my years of boating and your pictures brought back some fond memories of being there. Thanks.

Mike.
