Is Village even still in business? I thought they were gone. I know the rest of that point, which used to be Kalfran Lodge, was sold and bulldozed for redevelopment (i.e. condos), and I thought the marina was part of that deal.

Yeah, they're still FW; just meant local FW. Last I saw of VM was at the LOTO Boat show last year. Should be there this year as well.

Just did the annual Mo river run over the weekend. A little chilly at 63F. We went down stream for my first time. KC Ramp to Sibley and back totalled 64 mi. A beutiful trip as the leaves are just starting to turn. Burned 22 gal to do it (3 mpg). It was a little less than an hour there, a little more back. "Debt Charged" ran great! Mostly cruising at about 30 mph; but ran a few miles at WOT while kicking up a rooster-tail..... 55 mph down-stream! That was one of 2 times I wished for a full-height windshield, as we were all wearing sweaters and coats. I'll post some pics when the woman uploads 'em. Last run for the season... off to Walmart for pink stuff, then winterizer her next weekend

Mike,

As you know I'm on the Missouri side in KC and it's not any better. I haven't received my property tax bill yet, but last year it was around $2,000 with just two newer vehicles. I've added a third vehicle for the business, a wave runner, and my new H260 since then. We are estimating around $5K, but like I said, we haven't received the bill yet. I should also mention I'm in Clay county, they are very proud of Smithville lake around here. The park is nice, but the lake is nothing to write home about.

Matt,
Didn't want to hijack the thread, but I just noticed you are a fellow northlander..... any interest in hitting the big muddy? I'll likely be out this weekend... maybe toward Leavenworth for fishing with my dad.
