Never been to LOTO, so just for reference what would the minimum recommended size be?

It's been a while since I have been on LOTO, but I know it was rough in a 33 Sea Ray on a Saturday afternoon. Farther up the mile markers, obviously less traffic and smoother water. If you want to go to party cove, plan on it being rough. You can run the whole system mid-week and find glass conditions, so it really depends on traffic.

Have a minnow at Dicks Halfway Inn. I think it's at the 47 mile marker.

Actually, My sister's place is at the 62.... great conditions for even my old 18' Maxum. I took it down to "Dick's" for a minnow on one holiday. Not too bad, until we decided to head down to about the 40..... Rougher than a mofo!
We actually prefer to cruise up towards Warsaw (88) and back... .much more scenic. 8)

Not to mention, Water Patrol rarely ventures up our way.

What's this "minnow" thing at Dick's all about? or do we just need to go to find out.

Got 2 long out of state trips planned for this summer, one being close to LOTO @ TRL, so chances are I won't make it to LOTO this summer. I've heard it's even bigger than TRL....can this be true? I think LOTO would be a good place for a sort of national Four Winns Rally in terms of it's central location in the U.S. Is the lake "boater friendly" so to speak? Meaning, I assume there are a number of Marina's/restaurants/lodging etc scattered around the lake. I'm fairly certian I've read that some of you guys have taken on water delivery out there, so that means we should be able to get the local dealership to help sponsor something.

LOTO bigger than TRL? It's big, but I don't think it's that big.

LOTO would seem to be better for a big rally from the standpoint of being central and there being a FW dealer there (and none at TR). However, the dealer at LOTO is now part of MarineMax who isn't interested in anything but schlepping boats as fast as they can IMO. So it'd be interesting to see if they'd put any effort into such an endeavor.
