The Admiral and I usually pack up on Friday or Saturday night, (depending on the weather). We've gotten pretty good at packing so it only takes us a few minutes.

We then drive 1 1/4 hours to the Lake where our boat is moored and stay until the following evening.

It's just a 5 minute walk from the lake house to the boat which is only 15 feet from the beach so even when the water's cold it's painless. 8)

It's a 30 minute drive to the lake house. Unload the groceries and then hit the slip. Takes about 5 minutes to uncover and lower the boat into the water. Makes mid-week boat rides very easy.

We leave our boat up the river at our block. It usually takes about half an hour to remove security devices, covers etc and generall rigging , then 2 minutes to the ramp. The boat stays tied up at the front of our block for the duration of our stay, so it is ready to go at the turn of a key.
Packing up and cleaning it after that is another story all together though

We got about a 45 min(30 miles) drive. I always hope to get there before noon but with kids we're lucky if we're on the road by 11. We are getting better though...amazing how quick you start developing a system and finding what works and doesn't work.

Depending on traffic lights we are 15- 22 minutes from driveway to marina parking lot. We can be underway in less than 20 minutes depending on whether we are going to overnight, how dirty the boat is, if we need to add water, etc. We chose to live in an area that is close to marinas for the convenience factor. If it is too much hassle who wants to be bothered?

Once under way, we can be in our favorite anchoring spot in about 15 minutes and sipping cool adult beverages shortly there after.

We're about 15 minutes from the lake. The amount of effort required varies depending on how early (before 8am) I get up since the majority of parking is at the top of a fairly large hill. Since the admiral has taken to driving, I drop her in the water and go park which saves having to mess with fenders and ropes.

It's not as convenient as being on the water, but $2,500 for a rickety pier without any services didn't seem worth it for an inland lake.

Boat stays in the shop at home. 35 min to launch ramp. It's great keeping it indoors. I can back it in and forget about it until I want to mess with it later.

Strange thing, when I was married, it was a MAJOR production. Now, me and the boy can be in the water 1 hr after we wake up on Saturday mornings... :?
Towels stay in the boat, cooler stays in the house. Load cooler, throw it under the seat. Only take what you're wearing & in your pockets.

The boat stays in the slip at the lake, the Admiral packs up the cooler full of beer and food and we drive 1 hr to the slip every friday night (rain doesnt bother you if you are in a covered slip).

On the boat are towels, toiletries, snacks and clothes. The Marina has free laundry so we do the laundy every sunday night before we leave. Wash down the boat and wipe her down and place the cover on her (about an hour), very effortless.

We are about 5 minutes to the CT River boat launch in Haddam CT, so it's pretty convenient to put the trailer on the truck and get in the river. Although, it can get pretty busy on the weekends! Free ramps attract a lot of boaters and you see some interesting rigs!

There is a Marina a mile or so farther south that charges $12 for a round trip launch/retrieve. Some days it seems worth the cost to avoid the chaos!

The big summer trip is Lake George NY, which is 3.25 hours away...not too bad for a week at such a great destination.

John

Our marina is 70 miles from home. On a good day, we are there in a hour. We go down either Friday night or Saturday morning and stay til Sunday night or we even can do a Monday morning.

One there, we open our camper canvas, turn on the air and open a beer.

IMO, this set up beats trailering.

It depends on where we want to go :) I can be on grand traverse bay in less than half hour including any prep time to hook up and launch. There are too many lakes to count that I can be at within an hours drive. Our typical outing is 1/2 hour prep, pack coolers, towels, hook up, etc, 20-30 minute drive to elk lake and on the water. Our old H190 was rack stored at torch. We plan to do this again with the H200. It will take less time even though the drive is further. The flexibility of towing is nice, esp with all of the great lakes (literally) around here. The convenience of the rack storage outways that though. We found that we used the boat more with out the hassel of launching and retreiving. We've got the process down pretty well, but it's still a headache.
