Instead of socks, I bought some clips to hold towels on my Bimini. I got 6 for $10. Not bad if they do as advertised.

The guy who invented those must have been a cruiser owner because we use our clear plastic window savers to hold our towels up (at least I do). Thanks for reminding me that I need to get more.

The ones I got appear to be nothing more than 1" ID PVC pipe cut to size and such. They do have many colors available. I just bought white.... much easier to find against the black of my top, or at night when putting stuff away.

Again, I liked the larger Cobalts, and such, but the GF made clear the boat she liked the best is in my driveway. :)

I was looking at it, but it only had twin 350 mags or 300 hp volvos (can't remember which). I did like it, other than it had no berth, just a potty. The GF even noticed it was just a GOD DAMN BIG bow rider, and felt it wouldn't turn as quickly as my 210SS, so I decided not to get one. After searching around, I did see the Ebbtide 270, a BR with berth and plenty of umph.... maybe after I finally get the FW paid off.

Are any of you guys going to the LotO/OP boat show next weekend? I'm thinking about it... thought I saw a few FW's heading there when I was working at the Sprint campus this week.

Most of my job is predictive maintenance of large electrical motors. I was testing thier Chiller motors. Just something they pay us to do annually.

Cool. I'm not an electrician, but I read Fluke News which (although primarily a sales thing) has a lot of very interesting articles about predictive maintenance. Interesting stuff.

According to tonight's local Fox news, this weekend's KC show saw boat sales up 35-50% over last year's show. They didn't say whether that meant 3 compared to 2, or something more substantial.

No word on sock trends.

I saw that as well and was shocked. Then I thought about how much it would take to move that percentage, too. I bet they sold 6 more boats than last year. My B.I.L. went on Friday night-said it was sad and disappointing compared to previous years. Thinking about hitting the O.P. show next weekend. Saw the FWs sitting in the lot last night when I was driving down I-435.

Yeah I'm thinking about hitting the OP show as well. I've been working quite a bit on the weekends lately though, so will have to see.
