Walking over the dinette to get to the Vberth is a necessity, the back of the seat lifts up to extend the bed (interior pictures shows it lifted up). This design does give the interior more space.
I would almost welcome that setup on my 298 Vista. The Vberth on my boat is so high up and I can't tell you how many times my young kids have accidently fallen off it on to the cabin floor. I also like the way they moved some of the cooking area out into the cockpit. I always hated cooking down below because it stunk up the place. Moreover, cooking is an integral part of boating and it should be enjoyed by all (those cooking and those watching). I thing the tall windshield would be perfect for boaters who keep their canvas up all year long but it would not be for me because I like sitting on the bolster seat with the wind in my face. Like someone else stated, she is a mini-V435.
