I have boated ton the Muskoka lakes many times. I have a Chartplotter that takes the Navionics Max NT+ maps. It is worth while. There are a lot of things lurking in the water up there and is worth while investment until you know all the lakes inside out. Also invest in a spare prop, and carry it with you.

You can get some pretty good deals on stainless props at the boat show, and it won't be hard to find lots to buy! Enjoy! I'll be hitting the show on the final day can't wait!

Cheers

There is a lot of unmarked territory on those lakes, and lots to see in those areas. Lots of rock in the lakes and for the most part the cottagers have things marked but when you venture off with little knowlede that's when you will need the spare prop!!

You mentioned towables, not sure if they ship to Canada, but just bought wakeboard and Super Mable tube from WaterWedgie. Great service, got it to me before Christmas with no freight AND a great price.

I use to tow our 225 Sundowner with a Ridgeline, You will love your Pilot. My wife was a service manager at Honda for 7 yrs and never had anything bad to say about the Pilot

Yes, I love my new pilot. My brother and friend have the exact same model and they love theirs as well. It came with a tow package but today I noticed that the electrical is a 4 pin but I think my trailer is a 5 pin. My local trailer hitch guy says he can hard wire a 5 pin for about $100.00. I have seen some adapters on line but they have to be spliced into the back up light wiring, something I am not too keen on doing myself.

Welcome to the forum. We'll be doing our boating on the trent severn waterway as well, starting out in lake Scugogg. I installed the garmin 536 on my boat, and got the maps from Lake ontario to Montreal on an SD card.

Not yet, which is why I said "will" I know its weed infested and shallow, but I have to start somewhere if I want to get into the Trent Severn.

Save yourself the waste of time. I grew up on Lake Scumbog. It's nothing more than a very large shallow ditch in a farm field. Once you're past Lindsay though, the rest of the system is great.

Unless you like having your prop fouled with weeds every 20 minutes, Scumbog aint a boaters lake.
