Apache Trout Grill has a dock you can tie up to for lunch or dinner.
Suttons Bay is a great town to stop in.
Knot Just a Bar in Omena is also on the water but it can be skinny water to get to the docks. We usually dinghy to shore.

Have fun. Beautiful water up there. :D

Thanks Jeff. Just what I needed. We are excited about this little trip. Hopefully I'll have a few pics to post to get this thread back
on track.

Hey Cap'n,
How was the trip to GT bay? Any pics?

Had a wonderful weekend on the bay. Did not bring the camera on the boat, and the few phone pics are boring to look at , unless you were there.
We stopped at Apache Trout Grill, Knot Just a Bar, Harrington's and Holiday Inn on the bay. Also spent 1 day just driving around the Leelanau peninsula, probably stopped at 8 different bars along the way, and 2 dozen little shops in all those towns for the Admiral to do her shopping.

We will be back, probably a couple times next summer with the boat. We also will be camping at the TC State park next weekend, sans boat.

Those sound so much nicer than the kind of places we have down here in the middle - Bearded Clam, Big Dick's Halfway Inn, etc.

I can post a few pics later, as I can't access anything from work. But the pics look like crap compared to Bliss36's North Channel pics.

Here are a couple from The Cove restaurant and bar in Leland that I had on my computer. Neat place in Fishtown to eat and relax.

They have a live "fishcam" in the bar to watch the salmon run.

Your restaurants don't sound that bad Mike. I have eaten at the Bearded Clam ....... but prefer The Bald Clam

Nice!
Fishtown in Leland is one of my favorite places up there. I've yet to make it there by boat. Hopefully next summer. We usually go on Memorial Day every year. They have a "here comes the sun" party every year thats alway a good time.

Awesome pics, thanks for sharing! Where is this castle? Looks awesome! Also, where is the lagoon with the mountains in the background? Just curious, but looks like a great time!
