I have no pictures of the 2013 boating season because it hasn't happened yet. Cold, rainy weather with occasional thunderstorms and high, fast, trashy water = no boating for me. I took some pictures of all the debris floating down the river this morning. Dealing with logs and trashy water is part of boating on the Mississippi all year long. But what I saw this morning is ridiculous. No way I'm going to risk my outdrive for several weeks just to say I was on the river by Memorial Day.

Monday on the lake is fun and all but a Tuesday following a Monday is even better.

So much stuff in the floor storage: 2 full rafts, 2 fat noodles, 3 fenders, 2 full size folding chairs, 2 neo jackets, wake rope, ski rope, 50' tow tube rope, 50' 1/2" no stretch boat tow rope, grill.

Image

Best feature of the boat is the built in cooler. 28 beers, water, hater aide, condoments, brats.

Our friends

Our regular island all to ourselves today

That's how you cook chili for beer brats.

My office. Answering some emails and conducting some business, this is how it needs to be every day. I may be having a talk with the owner tomorrow. Better yet may be time to start my own company that the wife and I have been talking about instead of it being a side business.

Memorial Day in Charlevoix. Had front row seats on the boat for the ceremony.
Then got to try out the new grill, and later the dock chairs. :D
Came back from the lake to find a new neighbor with a brand new StingRay that he just took delivery of today. Got any advice for him Ric?

Canada maps are within the US & Canada load that i bought.. also Australia and few other places are available with a different download.. the cool thing is for example: i am only using the lakes and coast of SC GA NC so i have saved to phone just that region.. now if say i go out west to a friend on lake tahoe i can load that area in about 5 min and have all the charts needed.. there is way too much detail to have all the carts and lakes saved to phone at one time.. another great feature we like is the course tracking for the day. So if we are just cruising around back forth to the marina to friends house and pulling people and such i can get my trip distance for the entire day and do fuel figures so simply know we ended up running around 30 miles etc.. It is a very useful tool.. there is no need for a $500 chart plotter on my boat when i can use my phone.. i know that i have LTE ont he entire lake so coverage is not an issue and it is a gps chip based so as long as a satellite does not fall out of orbit we are good..

Those are closer to "real" brats than what the DIY guy from SC posted earlier. A smoked, pre-cooked sausage is NOT a Bratwurst, despite what the package says.

Looks like you had great weather JeffLW :!:

We have a great local Butcher if you ask for 10 links he literally makes you 10 links right then strung the real way the good way the only way with pig intail linings.. now i am hungry.. Those are Johnsonville cheddar brats. :D Not as good as the ones from the butcher, but pretty good for store bought.
Weather was on the chilly side, but sunny and calm winds made it not too bad.

Nice pics, we are in Parker. Haven't made it out yet. Was the water low in Pueblo?
