No offence but I go out on the boat to get away from the land lovers not hang out with them. Move on and enjoy the water somewhere else!!

Ric,

You are right and don't take no for an answer. You should go there and refuse to leave. I would tell the resident Deputy he can't arrest you and he can't make me leave. Just tell him you have an attorney, that should take care of things. I would add that the neighboring property owners owe taxes and that means you have right of access to that property too.

LOL. You can tell ric is single and has too much time on his hands but I do appreciate his continued harassment of the HOA Nazis. Our family dealt with one on a vacant lot that we were trying to sell and that HOA jerk wanted us to do everything but sod the thing before we were allowed to sell it. Give em' hell ric!

It's a matter of principle. Property Managers are not above the law, not on my lake.

Confusing? I live here, it's "my" lake. I don't own it, but it's my backyard you know what I mean. Unless you're a robot.

Now I'm confused - where did the robot come from? If the robot was an invited guest can it stay? Could it be arrested, jailed?

Sorry, didn't mean to derail the thread, just wondered about the robot comment.

Um, so using the same justification, it's the "Apartment's" lake too, right?

Maybe you should stay in "your" yard from now on? Or go over there until they try to remove you... then shoot a few of them in the leg to show you mean business! After all, we do have the right to bear arms... nothing is said about legs though.

So I've been thinking all day. I'm bowing out. What am I even fighting for? My right to idle around a 500 acre lake that's getting full of weeds because the HOA slacked off and the neighboring communities that hate boats? Forget it.

The goal is by June to dry dock the boat at Boat Tree Marina in Sanford on the St. John's River for the summer. At least til November. All I have to do is make a phone call and it's sitting there waiting for me tied to the dock ready to go in the 25 minute drive it takes to get there. There's restaurants, bars, gas stations, party coves, places to anchor out for the night, you name it all up and down the 100 mile river. The marina itself has laundry, hair salon, bar, restaurant, swimming pool, tons of stuff just to hang out at. I have a fully stacked and optioned 22ft cuddy cabin, time to start using it.
