We're there nearly every weekend. Usually more towards the Southern end... Skull is usually a good place to find us. We do occasionally make it up towards the Eagle Creek/Findlay end too..

We're coming from Findlay so we're in 5 or Eagle. If we get down the lake there are several of those coves we like to slip into mostly on the west side. I think I've only spent a couple of nights in Skull. There's a black and white 278 I keep running into but haven't stopped to chat. Always wave at them and tell them they have a nice boat. I don't know if they're on here or not. I'm noticing a greater Fourwinns population on the lake. Theres a nice looking green and white cruiser on 128 going to the lake. Looks older but well cared for. 1995 258 asking 16K according to the Facebook page for the lake.

I would also say that we often get to the lake late on Friday and are going out in the dark. When that's the case we tend to stay closer to the marina because we're trying to get on the hook and get the grill going. Once we get set and I have a few cocktails in me we'll set there for a day. Usually slip back to the marina to fill our water up, pick up someone then back down the lake. I'm itching to get out of here right now calculating how long it will take me to get home, changed, Seadoo hooked to the back of the truck and off to the lake. Gonna be a great night for sleeping on the hook with a full moon and lows in the 50's. I counting on it being one of those spectacular nights! Have a great weekend boaters!!

Oh and pic's coming Monday. Bliss36 loves it when my wife posts them and he can't get out. Look like a good forecast for them though.

Was kind of a quiet weekend, weather was pretty nice, but man was it windy, especially Sunday morning.. Keep forgetting to grab pics during a busier weekend. Here's a few I grabbed while running the dog to shore Sunday morning..

Went to Michigan City for an afternoon...the boat always shrinks when we go there!

It always seems like a scene out of "The Simpsons" when we go there...with big cooling tower...

This was the busiest on the lake, aside from some traffic near the harbor entrance. For a calm day...the lake was empty!

Taken yesterday by my wife on Lake Saint Clair. It is our excited 6-year old waving to my in-laws on the boat (38' Carver) in the distance.

First big trip of the year. Charlevoix to Traverse City and currently in Northport, MI. Was trying for Fishtown in Leland today but wind, waves, rain and cold has us stopped in Northport. Not the best weather overall but we did have a great day at Power Island yesterday.

Made it to Leland MI yesterday, got to say hi to Tim Allen while he was cleaning away on his boat, and met John and Zita Winn.

Love weekday boating. The lake was quiet. Great to work on some water sports!
