So far I have had no reason to buy office for mac
Well, if you want to try something different (and free) try Open Office. It compatible with everything and it works well on the Mac and most all the other "*nix's"

For Scientific and Graphic world MAC is tough to beat

•Practically all later major movies are Linux movies
"Southpark" is produced using Mac desktops with Linux servers.
Here's info on what distribution each major company uses for their animation platforms.
http://studio-linux.org/studios/index.htmlIf you want to read a little about Linux in the movies click the following link
http://www.linuxmovies.org/2008/fosdem. ... s.2008.pdf (that where I got the list above)
http://www.linuxmovies.org/The neet part about all this is with a little effort (becoming less and less all the time) you can take hardware (that absolutely will not run Vista for example) and give it a "new" life by installing Linux ........Then you'll have a fulling functional internet ready computer that is immune to the 60,000+ virus's currently out there.
The following is considered one of the easiest out there to install and use:
http://www.ubuntu.com/ (MS is eventually going to STOP supporting XP to try to force you to buy Vista or "7".......It won't matter because those operating systems will not run on your old hardware anyway....... "THEY" want you to "throw it away" and buy the new stuff.......)
That's ok I suppose unless you would rather keep your money and spend it on your Four Winns!!!!
And in keeping with a "Boating Banter" subject, I am still amazed that I have a fully functional Linux device in my 1987 Four Winns Liberator!!! Now If I can just figger out a way to connect a keyboard and a mouse!!!
