We were also in Pueblo last weekend on Memorial Day. Air Temp was about 90 but I think water temp was down around 60-65.

I jumped in with the kids a couple of times to cool off, but couldn't stay in for more than a minute or two.

I'll have to keep a lookout for your yellow SS...

Some pics from the weekend:

Made a run to Hampton for lunch at Bluewater Marina with the in-laws Saturday, beautiful weather for the trip!

Docked at Bluewater waiting for the ladies to surface for lunch...

Spent some time at the cove on Sunday with some other FourWinns peeps, they have a 288 Vista.

The good news? The water levels are almost normal.
The bad news? Rain everyday.

Here is a pic from a test run tonight. 1-2' rolling swells kept us nice and slow. A gorgeous night for a quick ride!

I'm a little late to join in now as I have already been out 4 times this season. But here's a quick catch up:

Hooked up and ready to go:

First outing this year. Docked at the harbor to go to Hooters on the Saginaw River. Nice 3 hour round trip.

I spent the weekend after that finalizing my stereo install:

Here is a swim platform remote with full capability of my head unit:

Speakers before and after:

The next weekend we stayed at the same harbor over the weekend to wait in line overnight for a slip for the fourth of July and River Roar races. This was my first time putting up the camper top, the previous owners barely used it, it is like new!

Last weekend we hit the Saginaw River and went out to the Saginaw Bay, first one is me driving the boat:

Here's our power plant, near the mouth of the river:Image

At the mouth of the Bay:

This weekend will be a high of 72, so I'll be starting this project and hoping to finish in time for next weekend. Goodbye VDO gauges! You won't be missed :)

You are going to love the Polk speakers. I have the same ones hooked to my amp with 160w to each and they jam. As for the Faria gauges I have the same set but the other model depth that does not have water temp and air. You will love them also.

I'll get pictures tomorrow. Lake levels will be going over the dock by the AM. Rescued one boat that was partially sank.

is that a direct replacement for your vdo set? if not you have to get up some pictures of the modification. I am very interested in replacing mine over the winter and would like to see what you come up with

BTW what did it cost?

my biggest and only gripe with the VDO is that you cant see the guages from standing up, which is what I do 75% of the time. So I want to make a set closer to the edge of the dash

Hey neutron, you have VDO? I thought VDO started in 1999? We have (basically) the same boat and I do not have them.

Yep, that's the same dash/gauges I have. That's a VDO too, eh? I thought the VDO cluster had the "VDO" printed in the lower left corner by speedo? Update: Did some Googling and found that FW used VDO from 1998-2001. So our 96's should be trouble free right?

mine is trouble free so far, I just want a better viewing angle from standing, sick of bending down to glance at my gauges

I'll make a good write up for it since there isn't a full one one here. The box just has a wood print where the gauges sit, I am getting sheet carbon fiber and making my own panel to mount the gauges. I'm starting the project tomorrow.

Yes, the Polks sound amazing! The PDX.5 amp is great, and so is my JL W5 sub. It's a perfect setup for me.

Also, the gauges were $334 shipped. http://www.blackbearsportinggoods.com/ Is where I got them from, they had the best prices and selection. I bought some 2x2 twill blue and black weave carbon fiber panel to mount the gauges in on eBay that was about $60. It should be a HUGE upgrade over stock both functionally and aesthetically. I'm looking forward to the water and air temp in with the depth gauge. Oh yeah, and having my gauges work reliably!
