Actually today in NY is beautiful! It is likely to hit 70 degrees today and is sunny! The boat is still under wraps, but got all the zincs changed and the lower unit oil changed and all lubed including the shaft spline. Just need to put the props back on, finish installing the rub rail, touch up the bottom paint, and then a good washing and waxing and I should be ready to go back in the water. The marina has been putting the floating docks back in the water, and this morning I noticed that they were putting my dock in. They said that in about 2 weeks they should have the water and electric hooked back up and I should be good to go! My goal is to be out cruising on Sunday, April 15th! Good thing I already finished my Income taxes. Yeah!! :D

Sounds like someone has been passing the wait time very nicely!

Glad to hear things are warming up for you...however, it just makes the wait that much harder!!!

Great weekend except for the wind. We had a good 15 kn wind from the east north east the entire time. Highs in the 80s with the low 60s in the evening. Here are some photos.

Finally, the helm is complete. Last bit is installed, buttoned up and working like a charm.

Looks Good! Glad you had a good trip! I can see what you mean with the wind, by the white caps in one of your pics! The Helm looks Great! Thanks for the pictures! I don't really have time to go take the shrinkwrap off tonight, so maybe I'll just go sit on the swim platform and think about what a nice trip you had! Soon enough! Thanks again for sharing!

I got the cover this weekend and now the cleaning begins. The docks are going in at the marina, but cannot go in till may 1. Planning on the first weekend of May.

The new boat is at the marina and they pulled the factory wrap off yesterday to prep it. Next week bottom paint and in the water. The docks are ready to go. Hopefully some pictures this weekend. Warm weather can't come fast enough !

Good Luck with that Barry! Can't wait to see those pics! I talked to Bryan Douglas at G&R yesterday. He sounded very busy! Now I know why he was busy...Getting your Boat Ready! Cool!!! Where are you going to launch it?
Regards,
Jim.

You are correct. Bryan is very busy with my boat. We are closing this Saturday. The boat is now at Brewers Pilots Point in Westbrook, my marina. G and R is doing the prep work there. I think he ran out of space. Bryan is taking very good care of me. We have known him for years. We bought our last boat from him.

Just paid for moorage at one of the local marinas (see link below). Haven't had a slip in the past as the ramp was so close to my house and easy to use. But late last fall, the politicians okayed plans to put a seafood restaraunt right in the middle of the truck/trailer parking lot. So we went from approx. 50 stalls down to 15! The ramp is going to be a real cluster and the potential of your boat and vehicle getting damaged is high, not to mention the heated tempers.

Have a great season and stay safe.

Boat coming April 21st. Hte lake is still frozen solid but there is a 2' swath of water around the edge. Two of the three sections of dock are built and waiting to be installed.

That is all. :D

Well I just spent the weekend out on the Lake in the new boat. Man can she move, got her up to 55, only for a few seconds. Have been following the 20 hours pretty closely.
