About $23 million, even Ric couldn't find any mods to do to this, apart from female company of course.

I bought a Ski Doo Mach Z 1000 today.

I hate winter and we got a few inches of white shit today, so, what the hell. Might as well make the best of it.

This will be my first winter in about 7 years with out a sled.... I am doing everything in my power to keep myself from going out to buy one.

Today my wife booked our hotel room in Miami for the boat show. We are staying a at the Hilton down town.... 50 odd more sleeps to go! 8)

Put the studded snow tires on my wife's Subaru Outback. Had to replace the front brake pads, found the lower caliper slide bolts on both sides seized. Took some persuasion with a hammer and ball joint splitter to get them to come out. Surprised that the pads that were in there lasted 40,000 miles! Took about 1/2 hr to free each one and get the job done. Lucky the back brakes were OK still, and the caliper slides in the rear were fine. Enough fun for one day.

We're not allowed to have studded tyres in the UK as they apparently wear out the cheapskate road surface compounds too quickly. I've driven cars in Sweden and Finland in the Winter, studded tyres. -30 deg C on ice and the traction was amazing. I fitted 3 sets of winter tyres/ wheels today to our UK cars; some of our cars don't seem to be designed to be jacked up (if !we ever had a flat tyre, I couldn't fit a trolley jack under the affected corner).

Then I got to work on the locker/ battery switch/ electrical panel to sort out the battery issues on the 2009 278 Vista which is 95 miles away.

Don't feel too bad. We aren't allowed to here in Michigan either. In the area I live in we average about 120" of snow per year and average winter temp is well below freezing...in fact there are typically several days a year that the daily high is below 0F....

No where near the worst place on earth but plenty challenging to drive some days.

Ice, snow, sleet etc are essentially a daily occurrence in winter and yet they won't let us use studded tires to make it safer. My wife went into a ditch in early Dec. last year when there was about an inch of ice on the entire road surface...you couldn't even walk on the road without sliding. About the only thing that would have helped are studs. Luckily it was a slow slide into a gradual ditch so no injury or major damage.
