Not sure what's going on with the 205 and I've been looking all over within reasonable driving distance for something else I might fancy to spend the 18k burning a hole in my bank account.

Okay, honestly I've found a few nice bow riders but I really want the inside of a cuddy and a 205

So most likely what I'll do here in the next month if this 205 falls through, is buy a jet ski and wait til I find another 205.

That Monty 194 is essentially the same as my 204FS. Looks nice. Personally, I would not want a cuddy in Florida, too hot and humid, and just seems weird to spend $'s and time to install A/C in a cabin the size of a big car trunk. If a cabin is desired, a small pocket cruiser, 23 or 24 foot would make more sense. If I lived down there, a bowrider, or center console with O/B would be my choice of boat. But needs and wants differ.......

Rick, why not save up a little more and get something like a 248 or 268 with AC. Then you would have a nice place to take the ladies and its still trailerable

I need something small enough to work on my 550 acre lake, but something big enough to work on the St. John's River and stay a fri or sat night out at a spring. A Vista can't do both and is not an option.

Then get use to this view if you are dead set on getting a cuddy. This will be what it looks like most of the time....

I thought I wanted a cuddy for a long time also. Then I bought the 18' Marquise. While it is a great boat, the only people who every slept on it were my young kids for naps when we were out on the water for a long time. Guess what, they would get really hot in there and that was in the cool waters of lakes Michigan and Huron.

That being said, the 205 Sundowner that you are trying to buy does look really nice. I'd give it a try again if I had the choice.

What is the biggest boat you would consider in a cuddy ?

I could probably get away with one of those 228's. They sure are nice but I'm still on the fence about their cockpit layout. I'd have to see one in person. Do they have more cabin room compared to a 205 as to why the cockpit is so much smaller?

Yes. Cockpit also seems smal due to the big swim pad.

I'm not sure if I'd use that more then a bigger cockpit of the 205, but dang... they sure look GOOD. Their website sucks though, they don't share past product info like FW does. I'm trying to find a spec sheet/catalog

Don't get that gp 800 its only a two seater, you cant tube behind that. you need at least a three seater to pull tubes and that. I have a year 2000 xl1200 waverunner three seater, thats what we do all our tubing and wakeboarding with. If you do get a jet ski the best thing I like to do with mine is to take it out in the ocean and take it in the surf, you can get like 10 to 15 feet of air.
