No kidding. That setup probably cost 30k. At least do a freaking bravo surface conversion not needing the lower unit. Or just surface drive all together. They're dirt cheap if you don't buy Arneson. Everybody and their brother makes them in Asia they're real popular over there on everything. 850hp going through two 90* angles is a disaster.

My Sister's family had a boat with this exact layout. They really enjoyed it. They had a large family, and besides some basic wake boarding and tubing, they spent most of their time just hanging at the lake and swimming. The Cuddy provided a great place to get out of the sun or wind when they wanted to, with an occasional sleep over.

Way too big of a boat for my tastes, but a good family boat design if you are not too into the water sports.
