For a first of it's kind... I give it 7/10. Using the video feature as a rear view cam for towing... now that's nifty. |

It's very cool - many MFD's can provide a similar experience, although I don't think I've seen one that offers controlling the engine speed and having personal presets. I hope they made it so you can fully navigate with physical keys as well as touch - pretty hard to use a touch screen in rough water! |

Some similar systems below, that have been out for several years on ski boats. Note* they chose not to use touch screen, rather buttons that are easier to use than touch screen alone. http://www.organistudios.com/index.php? ... Quote: I don't think I've seen one that offers controlling the engine speed and having personal presets. Marc’s DTS Smart Craft can be set up with controlling the Engine RPM, Speed ramp-up strength and having personal presets... our new boat has one... However, this command center is much better organized product with other features bundle and easier way to operate… If this system provide a reliable track record.. this would be a very attractive option ….. Almost makes me to think I want to get back to Four Winns…. (almost....) If the new Horizon 260 had SL262`s transom area (sunpad and recliner) and Command Center… and few better quality hardware I would of stay with FW and not jump a ship to E6. ![]() |

The take at some of these bigger boat shows are just fantastic. The one in Boston I thought was good until I went to the Newport, R.I. one. Thats were you see all of the state of the art electronics. In Boston you just see a few. About 4 yrs ago in Boston, there was a 32' cruiser that had 3 12" displays at the helm. Nothing else other than switches. The displays showed all of gauges on a analog format and you could customize it to size and were you wanted them. At the time and if my memory is right, this was a $25,000 option, on a $400,000 boat. AND there I am looking to find a $50,000 boat to take home. My own GPS & fish finder will show me gauges, BUT. You needed ether a NEMA2000 engine or the sensors on the engine to display the data. |
