Another sad day in boating history. I thought they were owned by Genmar Holdings at one point but apparently they were partners with them. I guess they know who is going to win the election.

I don't think BRP and Genmar ever had any relationship. I'm not sure who owned Celebrity before BRP....maybe Genmar...I don't know...I think they were independent or family owned.

Nope was Romney that bought it and well, still has it.
Quote:
On 27 August 2003 – Bombardier, Inc. announced the sale of its BRP (Recreational Products) unit to a group of investors: Bain Capital (50%), Bombardier Family (35%) and Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (15%) for $875 million.

As usual with Bain, bought, split it up and is now sliming it down. No regards as too why it was successful with all the different types of production units. I guess I have a different aspect being on the engineering side.

Good Lord. To make matters worse, didn't BRP/Bain open up a plant in Mexico to boot? Isn't that nice to have on your resume as a candidate for the POTUS (no wonder he is getting his ass kicked in the polls). Too bad Herman couldn't keep it in his pants because he was my choice. The only Republican candidates that I have been impressed with over the last 15 years or so were Herman Cain and Alan Keyes. Anyone who hates our tax system is ok by me. Sorry for the thread drift.

Not tryin to head south, but opening a little boat plant in Mexico, (if that even happenend on his watch) is a hell of lot better than shutting off oil exploration in the US then telling south America we want to be their best customer. IMO

I also seriously doubt he (Romney) is behind in the polls. Factor in 5-8 points for the media slant, and it could easily be the other way around. Not to mention the people that don't answer honestly because they not want there car keyed or worse.

Rant over
