Does anyone have any tricks to removing a stain left from spider poop.

After I clean up the black dot, there is a small orange dot left behind.

I've only used soap and water on a microfiber towel to clean up the poop so far.

Well I hope you get more answers on this thread. I did not mean for the other reference to be a complete answer.

I have also gotten 3 very small orange stains recently. Sounds just like yours, these looked like small bug poops of some kind, and after cleaning the poop up, there was still orange stain underneath. My brother thinks they were bee poop? 303 vinyl cleaner did not get it up. I have not tried anything else yet.

Looking forward to other suggestions, although I think the main one might be that the sun will fade them away in time, but of course I keep it covered all I can.

I'm in the same boat. Spiders inside my camper canvas, just cleaned the poop to find the stains. Coclkpit cover is going on her for the first time ever in less than a week so the sunlight won't help.

Spiders are bad here, I just clean off the black spots with vinyl cleaner and let the sun take care of the leftover brown/orange spots. You can scrub forever but once it soaks in the sun bleaching it out is about all you can do. I do the 303 thing regularly and I visit the boat often during the season to clean the spots.

You can try hitting the spots with a q-tip and beach or magic eraser but the sun does the best job.

I have used soft scrub on those type stains when on vinyl. It has bleach in it so it takes out the yellow that is left over. You don't need to use very much to clean it, or scrub hard at all. Then a coat of 303 over top to protect it. This method has worked for years for me. Tilex has also worked well for me on stubborn stains.

If your having spider issues that bad, I would get some spider traps and set them in the boat. They have a hormone or something tht attract them and they get stuck in the sticky part of the trap. I also spray Raid around my dock lines, power cord to keep them at bay.

I use a cleaner called Mirage 2000. You can see the spider dung melt away and then a little rubbing with a soft cloth and final rinse and it's good as new.

I've never seen it at a marine supplier but most camper/ trailer places keep it. It's around 30 bux per gallon but well worth it.
