I can't stand it. They've all drank the Stingray kool-aid. In any discussion/thread/reply it's always about how Stingray is the best brand boat on the market. I started a topic in their "open" section about the Cobalt 243 and the first reply was a link to the Stingray 250CS cuddy saying "Nice cuddy that will blow the doors off a Cobalt and with the cost savings will pay for several years of operation and a lot of added bling". I replied "You can't compare a chevy to a bentley. The cobalt is on another level of luxury compared to Stingray"

Then someone replied "Logic dictates that if the same raw materials are used, the quality of those materials would be the same, so Stingray is on the same level as Cobalt".

-----------

REALLY?!?!? What the **** is wrong with these people. I love this forum because we can talk about the good/bad/other brands. Over there? If you have ONE single complaint you get flamed. There's an 8 page thread about my boat porpoising. 90% of it is how people are telling me I don't know how to trim even though I've explained many times it porpoises bad even with the trim all the way down if someone sits in a rear seat. One or two people chimed in stating the same issue and that smart tabs were a good bandaid (and they got flamed). Stingray now offers smart tabs as a factory option starting last year I think.

Ric, As Gresh24 said PLEASE don't give up on them. I've noticed this myself on forums some people you just can't get through to, no matter how many times you tell them, they know it all. I think you probably need to hammer it home harder and I'm sure they will see the error of their ways eventually.

That's true. We talk about what's good or bad about a boat from Bayliner to Cobalt. We would rather flame someone for who he is, not what kind of boat he drives!

I mentioned how my boat didn't come with a CO monitor from the factory and how I added one because I care about my life unlike Stingray. I got flamed hardcore. It's almost like the factory workers are members and anyone that has a problem gets shut up.

My sundowner never came with a co detector from the factory...

That's a 1997, things were different back then. My boat is a 2009.
