:( I am watching the local news and was just informed that there is ONE public boat launch open within a 50 mile radius of Dallas, TX :!: :!: :!:

It is pouring at the house now!

I guess it will be a good time to go to Boater's World and Bass Pro to buy more stuff!!!

My POOL likes like a POND! I even have a Frog (KERMIT) that likes it!

First time in 15 years of Pool ownership!

We have received our Annual Rainfall (32") in the past 7 weeks!

I'm glad I have the boat and lots of PFD'S IN CASE I FLOOD

I hope everything starts to get back to normal by mid-september. We are moving just north of Fort Worth, Haslet area. I am going to start a new job and I am suppose to be there before Oct. And I would like to at least get out on the water once before the end of the season.

Have you been to Eagle Mountain lake? That will probably the lake we visit the most. It is the closest one to Haslet, I think.

Hi all,
I live in the Haslet area, and Eagle Mountain Lake, will be your closest lake. I was on the south side of the lake 2 weekends ago, and the launch was still open, and looks like it could take a couple more feet of water. Once I get my boat, that is the lake I plan to go to the most.

bugsdoc1,
Wow those look a little high.. LOL Hopefully they will be down by the time we move. We are moving from North Carolina, the Raleigh area. Yea its going to be like 1240 miles. Talk about a long road trip with the boat and if we don't sell our VW Golf then its going to be a really long trip. Then the Boat will get pulled by the Expedition and the Golf on a trailer by my Harley Edition F-150. I'm going to be working at Alliance Airport and to my understanding Haslet is real close to there. We have looked at a few houses on Eagle Mountain lake but nothing we could afford that we liked.

Redfink,
When do you plan on getting your boat?

When we get setteled in we will have to hook up. Always in to meeting new people.

1niceharley,
My mailing address is in Haslet, (I live just outside their city limits), and I am only 10 minutes from Alliance Airport, and drive through Haslet center to get there. I think it is a beautiful area, and moved down here from Massachusetts just over a year ago. My trip in my 97 F150 super cab, with 3 cats took about 28 hours. Enjoy the drive over.

As for when I am getting a boat. I am going to look at Larsons and Chapparals tomorrow. I have looked at all kinds of boats, but think the Horizon 220 is going to be my best fit. Then as soon as I can figure out how to pay for it, I plan on picking it up.

Definately give me a shout when you get down here.
