To our members on east coast...bundle up and stay warm. Hope all boats are winterized and ready.

Meh, it's only -40 C up here with the wind chill right now. -27 is the base temp this morning.... Quite balmy out there... LOL We are under an extreme windchill warning, with wind chills in the -40 to -50 degrees C likely today. Freezes skin in minutes.

Indeed, those who haven't winterized properly will know it this spring. I haven't remembered a cold snap like this in recent years. I remember it as a kid, but it's been a while.

Now I've got to go walk to work.

My car has been reading about -15 C on my way into work for the last couple days now. Overall it's been a fairly mild winter for us so far with not a lot of snow. Next week on Tuesday and Wednesday it's forecast to be +5 and +6 C with light rain?

Our Great Lakes could sure use some heavy snow (and lots of rain) to help with their below average water depths.

Mike.

It's been cold this week for sure. My car readout hit -32°C, which in °F is -26! This is about the time I believe heated indoor storage is worth all that extra cost!

Yeah, man I'll tell ya, it's been a real cold snap here for the second time this year. The high the other day only got to 65 and the over night last night was around 49 F. Wow. I had to put on a light jacket to go to work this morning!

Don't worry about us down here though. It was back up to 73 F today and back to 80 by Sunday.

That sure was a wild winter! Now back to the sandals.

Lived half my life up in South Dakota, high of -17 F windchill today, so I know what you are talking about. Crunchy snow huh?!
I also give my family back home some crap about once a week. This year we are in South Florida. I am going to hate next summer.....

It has been very cold here, down to 9*F (about the coldest we ever get, being surrounded by water it keeps us warmer than the mainland). The harbor behind my house has frozen over, which can happen if its below 20* for a few days straight.

Same here. The bays normally don't freeze, but are completely frozen! Lots of cracking when the tide goes out.
