hello my name is justin and im new to the sight and just bought my first boat, 1994 four winns 190 h. what I want to do is either paint it or wrap it on the outside. dye the upholstery and put a tower on it. I dont mind to put a few grand in it sence I got a pretty good deal. I paid 2000 for it and it is lake worthy right now I just am not a fan of teal green. my biggest concern is the out side body idk what would be better to do, wrap it or paint it. any one have any pics of a boat like mine that has had a make over? looking for opinions and ideas! thanks!

Two answers.
On the paint - if you want to keep it more than five years, paint it, otherwise wrap it.

On the vinyl, don't die it, it will last maybe a year and completely screw it. Check around and get some or all of it re-done at a local shop.

Now the comments - We need pics. I am sitting in sunny Florida and it was 85 today.... again,.......... some more. lol
Seriously, these guys go nuts all winter just waiting to see some pics! We love projects!!!!
Also, welcome to the site!

Glass pops up on ebay you gotta keep searching. Try a dealer too.

A good vinyl for the hull is rated for at least 5 years in water environment. It will cost about $300 in supplies.

As far as the interior vinyl goes, just get it redone. Purchase your own vinyl for the people to reupholster with. My boat has Nautolex and it's very comfortable and very durable. Also have the vinyl person use Gore Tenera sewing thread (purchase that too for the guy). After that you can scrub the interior with bleach based cleaners every weekend for 10 years without any damage and it will look like the day it was installed. The typical threading those places use breakdown with bleach so it's nearly impossible to clean off mold with non-bleach cleaners.
