So is it a good thing that the Admiral has chosen the name of our next boat? We have been blessed to acquire property in the Sarasota area recently and the "discussion" about needing (wanting) a boat has been front and center. We have looked at rental options, boat club memberships and even stopped at a marina recently to price out drystack. The conversation usually ends with us deciding that this may not be right for us at this moment.

This past week I flew down to meet up with the Admiral and one of the first things she tells me is she has the name of our next boat. Is it time to go boat shopping? Any suggestions on how to proceed?

If the admiral is on board with a new boat, it's a GO in my book. Start your search !

What name did she choose?

Now your not just looking for a boat, you are looking for "?????" {insert boat name here}
She ("?????") is already part of your family now...go find her! :D

Well, my thoughts are, what size and style of boat would you and your admiral feel suits best in your next boat? Then compile all the intial contenders and have fun checking them out. Hence your short list will follow.

Mike.

I like it! The boys at Boaters Landing can fix you right up! I'm sure they'd love to sell one of those!

We were actually thinking a big smaller but if it needs to be a 475, I'm in. The popular boat seems to be a 21-23 foot hurricane. Also was on a whaler that had great fit & finish. Liked the merc optimax drive.

We did cross Big City (143' yacht) on the ICW headed into Sarasota. It was just purchased for 19 million. Yikes.
