Are there any Great South Bay boaters out there cruising the shoreline along MAssapequa, from Kydds MArine east towards the Robert Moses Causeway???

I was out there yesterday for an absolutely beautiful day on the water, starting off fishing the Fire ISland Inlet and then going out about 5 or 6 miles offshore. (Did better in the Inlet), and then spending the afternoon and evening hanging out at a swimming pool at my cousins house on the water around Unqua Point. As we were hanging out there was a pretty steady parade of Four Winns Boats going back and forth along the coast line (No surprise since Kydd's MArine is right there) from 20 ft Horizon's to either a 348 or a 378 not to mention a few 268Vista's in between, and of course I had to wonder if any of those folks passing by were from the board? If so, sure is a nice palce you guy's boat in!

I'm a little further east. This year I'm keeping my boat in Patchogue. I do hit the inlet every so often. I also made it out to Jones Beach earlier this season. Yesterday we took a nice ride out to West Hampton then stopped at the Moriches inlet for lunch on the way back. The weather was perfect.

saopm, Thanks for the reply! The South Shore Inlets are getting tough to negotiate this year. It seems that shoaling has caused some real problems, and instead of dredging, it appears they have just moved the buoys around to mark deeper water. I have heard that the Moriches is almost totally non navigable at this point.

As far as Great South Bay 4Winns owners, I did not think that there were many from this group from there. Too bad, since there a many 4 Winns in that area as Kydds's seems to be a rather large 4Winns dealer out there.

Anyway, I enjoyed watching all the 4Winns cruising by in front of the house while we were in the pool! Enjoy the Season!
