Dock up on the public docks at downtown eustis. Cool shopping and eating. Something I always wanted to do
Thanks Ric. We will definitely check out the Eustis waterfront and Downtown.
We will launch in Lake Griffin, and go through the Harris canal to Lake Eustis. There is also a nice waterfront area on Lake Dora, but I am told that we might not be able to get through to Lake Dora now because of low water levels. If we need more exploring, we should be able to get through to Lake Harris from Lake Dora.
I was flying on Saturday for my Aerial Photographer friend (Pierce Aero Photo, Boynton Beach, FL), and we were up in that area, so we were able to take some aerial photos. He has Hasselblad Medium Format camera with 40+ Megapixel digital back. Incredible detail, but I had to size these pictures down to about 1/60 of their original resolution to fit 1065x768 size. See below for some pictures we took of the Harris Chain of Lakes area:

Waterfront Area, east side of Lake Eustis (note that one of the "boats" at the dock is an Airplane -- See last photo)

Southern half of Lake Griffin

The Marina on Lake Griffin where we can rent a slip for $23/week

Lake Dora, towards the South

Lake Dora again, looking West. Note the boat and peninsula in the middle, and see next picture

This is a full resolution piece out of the middle of the previous photo, however there is still quality loss as these were compressed as JPEGs. His full resolutions photos are incredible. (His camera is worth more than the airplane)

This is a full resolution piece out of the middle of the first photo. (Eustis Waterfront Area)
