Have a 2007 H190 and want to add a larger second cooler. I see people with them mounted on the swim platform using a mounting kit. Thoughts on this?? Any suggestions?

Thanks,

I dont like the idea of having any brackets that you could trip on. Like the idea on it in the platform and I would if there was a better way

have you thought of using like an eyelet and a bungie? i too do not like the large toe stumper brackets.. but eyelets are simple low profile and sturdy

I use ratchet straps to the cooler handles to attach to keep it on the swim step when going river/lake camping. Something to consider is how big a cooler and how much weight will be on the very back of the boat....That can cause an issue getting on plane if your boat is loaded up.

I'm considering making one out of fiberglass that slides into my bow (conforms to the shape) to keep some extra wight in the front and with a cushion on top it would give me a filler cushion for the wife to lie on or kid to play on.

Ours hangs out on the back. But I use the ski tow eye and one of the cleats. Don't want anything to step on when walking on the platform.
