Ok I'll start by saying this is my buddies boat. Yes we are al "fixer uppers sweat equity guys" it is a '91 sea ray 33'. With the bow puppet and built in platform it is 35'. Then add on another 3' for a total of 58"x 11'6" wide. Yea your thinking correct that's a large play form. Well this was a new old stock platform from some other boat. So it got cut in half. Yep! Jig saw to the chalk line. Widened 8". All glasses and reinforced. Glasses in some pre pressed non skid texture (it's so close to identical you wouldn't know unless told). Ok so we started talking and well a stationary platform is so plain Jane run of the mill. So what did we decide? Yep you guessed it. Hydronic lift with (removable V rack) for a jet ski. Not just a run the mill ski. But the Yamaha rp that we are building. 1300cc with big nor kit. Few other tricks to the motor, ride plate, impeller. It will be a 80mph+ ski. Here is where it is as of this afternoon. Figured I would share. All will be painted along with the hull here this month.

Oh I forgot the cool part. It's a hot rod cabin cruiser. You as how is a huge cabin cruiser a hot rod? Funny you ask. Well the factory 454s gas carbed. Well they drank gas and were super slow. And being the "Make It Better" guys that we are. A pair of fresh cummins were swapped in. Yep gas to big diesel swap. Makes 1,300Hp now. Still needs some tweaks but with the 5blade tuned props she runs 43mph up on plane. Sleeps 6, full kitchen, shower, diesel generator AC all that jazz. And she MOVES!!!

Cool build! Love the idea of a Cummins swap! Looking forward to seeing how your platform works out when it's all together!
