The beach I always beach at is asking boaters to sit 3ft off the shore, so we have to go through the rigorous process of setting two anchors now. In a way it's nice because I back in and the radio lights up the whole place if needed. Does anyone use an Anchor Buddy? It will turn the 5 minute process of running back and forth to set the anchors to just dropping the front anchor with the bungee thing, reversing til I'm shallow, and walk the boat 3ft off shore and tie it off to a cypress stump. It's around $35 at West Marine (cheapest cause no shipping charge). |

We used a Anchor Buddy on our 190 Horizon for years and loved it! My favorite feature is when your done hanging on the beach just pull your rear anchor and let the bungee action pull you out to deeper water. Also smooths out the bouncing action with waves and wake. I think you'll find it money well spent. |

I agree with Bliss. I've used mine a lot when beach camping, or just spending the day there. I've found it very handy - it's time for me to get a new one after 6 years or so as the bungie has lost it's stretchiness. |
