Have any of you guys requested one of these from Industry Canada? The US guys can get one from BoatUS, but its not for use in Canada.

I have my Standard Horizon GX 1600 radio hooked to my Garmin 536, but since I have never entered an MMSI number, I can't use the DSC capability.

A couple of things;

Once you enter a MMSI number into your radio, it cannot be changed. So if you install the radio in another boat, you will have to submit an updated form to Transport Canada with the new boat description and details.

If you sell the boat with the radio, make sure the new owner submits an updated form with their details.
