Probably discussed before but here we go again. 2009 SL262 with Merccruiser 8.1L 496 MAG HO engine (also have gps and upgraded stereo with subwoofer and amp). Need to buy new batteries but Interstate seems to have discontinued the model I have (dual batteries). The engine manual states a requirement of 650 CCA, 825 MCA and 150 aH. Hard to find anything with 150 aH rating! Was thinking of buying the Interstate SRM29 which has 675 CCA and 845 MCA. It also lists a 210 reserve capacity. I know that does not meet the 150 aH requirement though so am I still OK?? Cannot for the life of me figure out why the engine needs 150 aH. Looking for direction!

There are probably lots of good choices, but in the Interstate line I'd go with SRM-27B regardless of any slight discrepancies in numbers.

That Battery might be discontinued which is why I thought of going with the SRM29. I will go to the Interstate store tomorrow.

It's still on their web site, and they sell a ton of them. Please do let us know if they've been discontinued.

I just bought 2 SRM-27B from the Interstate Truck that supplies our Toyota True Start batteries.

Was lucky to only pay dealer cost directly from the driver

Interstate battery rep told me the SRM-27B is now discontinued and my local interstate battery store is out of them. I went with a Interstate PRO 27

Interesting. My boat was delivered with Interstate 27M-XHD, and I bought two more by the same name just 2 years ago. I don't see that one on their site anymore either. (27M-XHD, 800CCA, 1000MCA.)

The Interstate battery rep says they do still make the 27M-XHD. That is more of just a starting battery and that is in fact what my boat had in it when delivered. The only issue with that battery....stereo and amplifier would eat up its juice pretty quick while on the hook. Thats why I went with a dual purpose pro.
