Did not open the engine cover yesterday. Yes, I know I'm supposed to check the oil, sniff for fuel, check other fluid levels, check belt tension, etc etc etc. But yesterday I just started the engine, went boating all day, then went home. Ran great, and the closest thing to maintenance I did yesterday was flip the battery switch from 1 to 2. I/O boaters equivalent to a hole-in-one!  Ray |

I the bigger question that no one has asked! When was the last time the fluids were checked? And how many hours was that in between? I do that all the time, but only put 3 or 4 hours between checking. |

Other than that just check the engine oil every week manually. |

I check my oil once a year whether it needs it or not. |

I lift the lid and check fluids every time before she leaves the slip. |
