Greetings folks,

Anybody planning on attending this years Toronto International Boat Show which takes place January 11 - 19?

My wife and I will be there Saturday January 18th and spending the night at the Sheraton Hotel.

Mike.

Will be there on Saturday, but just because the wife is dragging me out. No plans to buy a new boat at all.

Yup heading down on Monday. The list of boats on display looks impressive. Can't wait to look at the meridian's again this year. I believe they will have a 540 cruisers and also the 45 cantius on display

Not me. I live close to 200 clicks from there now. Plus the last couple of years I went I found it to be a turn off. The only good deals to be had were on new boats, which I'm not interested in. Too many screaming brats also.

Mike, we always got the boat show deal at the Sheraton. If you've never been there, you'll love it. It's a very nice hotel.

Heading there tomorrow afternoon - also staying at Sheraton overnight. Going to take a look at the Glastron GTS 207 jet boat if there's one on display. Looking forward to it.

Best deal on tickets this year seems to be reserved for the chinese, set up by some chinese business assn.
Type Tour2014 in the promo code box, and tickets drop from $15/person to $10/person.

Saved me $5!

Hi John,

We normally stay at the Sheraton when attending the Toronto Show but have stayed at the Westin Harbour Castle as well (the other host hotel for the boat show that offers preferred boat show rates).

Personally I enjoy the novelty of swimming from the indoor Sheraton pool out into the heated outdoor pool and chucking snowballs at my wife who will be swimming lengths from the inside to outside pool. Luckily for her (or maybe me) I can't stand on the outdoor pool deck in my bathing suit throwing snowballs for too long. :)

Another little plus with staying at either hotel is the free shuttle service that runs between the hotels and the boat show.

We did The Westin one year too Mike. With the wifes credentials (circumnavigator magazine) we got a free upgrade to a penthouse end suite with a Jacuzzi. Good deal for 75 bux right? NOT. The fire alarms started malfunctioning in the middle of the night and going off every half hour or so. It's been the Sheraton ever since.

Yeah I could see the fire alarms going off frequently spoiling the "mood" while enjoying a romantic evening in the Jacuzzi. :)

I'd be pi$$ed too!

Have gone the last two years to Toronto Show and was going to skip this year and attend the Detroit Show instead.

But may get a wild hair and attend Toronto anyways along with the Detroit show.

Planning on being there on the 18th as well. Dropping the wife at her cousin's baby shower in Milton, then I am free to roam!

Could be dangerous.....

Great show! So nice to see some of my favourite uber-expensive boats in person. Wakeboard show with the System 2.0 cable set-up was impressive too. Came home empty handed though... :(

Lots of bowriders, the largest cruiser was a 335. Went throughout the cruisers 540 and wow that was nice as well as a 500 Marquis and the 441 Meridian
