As a few of you know, we have been looking for our next boat, having sold ours earlier this month. I have been shopping long before our boat sold, we knew what we wanted, but couldn't find one used.

Well yesterday we signed the papers on a 2014 Cruisers 380 Express http://cruisersyachts.com/models/380-express/. The deal came together a couple weeks ago and went to the Detroit boat show to sign the paperwork. The boat is currently in Grand Haven, with a delivery to Bay City no later than March 19.

We are very much looking forward to spring! :D

A few highlights

Twin Mercury 8.2 mags 380 hp with DTS and Axius Premier
7.3 Kohler generator
Hard top
Cockpit refrigerator and icemaker
Separate shower
Queen island berth
Sea grass matting on cockpit floor instead of carpet
Black striped hull

Cruisers was never really on my radar, my wife's main wish was a separate shower stall. Having seen one online, it was the only express in this size with a separate shower.

I have found that Cruisers is a very well built vessel, with a lot of innovative features. I originally was looking strictly at Four Winns, but the get the shower puts us upto the 435.... a bit out of our reach.

I am now haunting the Cruisers forum, but still like to check back here, having owned 3 Four Winns over 7 or 8 years.

Now back to researching electronics....

Wow congrats, Great taste, I am very impressed with the quality of the Cruisers Yachts and also the 380 has an excellent layout.
Enjoy! Now if we could just get rid of the polar vortex and start melting. Going to be a really long spring for you.

Beautiful!! Congrats! "Bought a boat yesterday" is the greatest thread title a person can ever have reason to create! I'm a big fan of Cruisers sport boat series as well.

Congrats! Good choice. That is one beautiful boat. Cruisers are on the top of my list of favorite boats.
The separate shower stall is on our upgrade list as well, but we are not ready for the jump in size required to get one. :(

Congrats Jeff on your purchase. Boats are certainly subject to personal preference, and for what it's worth I like your choice given your options that where important.

Mike.

Thanks guys.

Yeah we are patiently waiting for the snow to melt, it will be here soon enough, I think  . Lets just hope the summer is as good as the winter was, then itll all be worth it.

I have some work to do, getting the electronics purchased and installed, hence the elecronics post a few days ago, so that will take up some of the time.

Stay warm.

Does going from a 30ft to 38ft boat still feel like going from a 18ft to 26?

Does going from a mansion to a castle feel like going from a shack to a house?

(sorry, I don't know the answer to either one)
